New Administrative Code for Motor Vehicle Service Contracts.
Iowa Insurance Division has adopted a new Administrative Code Chapter 104 “Motor Vehicle Service Contracts” which the Insurance Division intends to go into effect November 2, 2016. Please review the Administrative Code in its entirety with special attention to the below Prohibited acts:
104.7(2) Unfair discrimination or trade practices. A motor vehicle service contract or provider shall not make or permit any unfair discrimination between individuals of the same class in the rates charged for any contract, or any other manner.
