Steps for online quoting:
1) Enter your username and password.
2) On this page you can look up contracts by customer name or last 6 digits of the vehicle VIN. And you can also obtain cancellation quotes. The top box is for the look ups, and the lower box is for the quotes.
3) Look ups-
- Name: Just enter the customers last name and this will bring up all GAPWise contracts sold through the dealer with this last name, give you their contract number, the VIN, and the vehicle year, make and model.
- VIN: Just enter the last 6 digits of the vehicles VIN number and it will give you the contract number, customer name, VIN and vehicle year, make and model. VERY HELPFUL ALL ON ITS OWN!
4) Quotes: Enter the waiver #, cancellation reason, and cancellation date. This will get the quote pulled up for you and at this time you will do one of three things:
- You can print the customer copy of the cancellation worksheet. You can have the customer sign this copy and for dealers who deduct from their next months remittance send this customer signed copy in with the remit. For dealers who do not dealer deduct, you would just fax or mail this customer signed copy in with a copy of the contract, and we will issue a refund check to the dealer.
- If you are the dealer you can print the dealer copy and send this in with a copy of the contract and other required paperwork. Ex. repo letter, payoff letter, odometer, etc.
- This is also where you confirm the quote. Do not do this unless you are going through with the cancellation, and you have verified all the information to be true. This needs to be done because this is what sends the quote in to our system and lets us know that this was quoted online. Once we receive the cancellation paperwork we will then within two weeks get a check in the mail to the selling dealer.
- There is also one other option, and that is to cancel the quote. You can do this if you know that the customer is not cancelling the coverage and no paperwork is going to be sent in. Example: the customer is thinking about trading and you would just like to get an estimate as to how much they could use from the gap you could quote it online and then if they decide not to trade then cancel the quote. You can not cancel a quote that has already been confirmed, therefore please double check the information before a quote is confirmed.
